Hi I'm Anne

I'm a senior citizen. I'm a crocheter. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend most of my day in a wheelchair. I need aids for activities of daily living. I am grateful for my helpers. I live in handicap community housing and go out to activities provided by Easter Seals. I enjoy visiting with the people there. I have a little garden in raised beds. Last year I grew some herbs, flowers, and cherry tomatoes. I love watching the nature of growth - how it starts small and blossoms.

Why I am a Mormon

A member of the church came and played the violin on Christmas Eve at the nursing home where I was recovering from surgery. I cried and the member thought it was the Holy Spirit I was feeling. She asked me if I wanted to study The Book of Mormon and I said "Yes". After listening to the missionaries for months, I still did not have a testimony that Jesus was my Savior. I felt I needed that important feeling in order to become a member. Then, one day in Sunday School, the teacher gave a modern day parable about a man who owed a lot of money to another man and he could not pay. So a third man stepped up to pay the debt. I realized that the third man was Jesus, who paid my debt so my sins could be forgiven. I felt the Holy Spirit and was anxious to be baptized.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures daily. I greet people cheerfully. I go to church and watch uplifting programs on BYUTV.
