Hi I'm Ellie

I grew up in Taiwan. I am a missionary serving at Temple Square. I'm enjoying being a missionary. I love life. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest child in my family. I was baptized at 8 years old. Now I am 20 years old. I am a missionary at Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission. Before I came on my mission, I was a student of Taipei National University of the Arts. I majored in music. I have been playing the piano and violin since I was 5 years old. I have been playing the viola since I was 9. I believe that music can lift a person's soul. Music can bring happiness to our life and also comfort a broken heart. Music, the gospel and my family are everything to me. These are the best gifts that Heavenly Father gives me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad were converts of the Church. I grew up in the church. I didn't want to live by their testimony, so I decided to find my own testimony in Jesus Christ. I prayed a lot and read the Book of Mormon everyday. After I gained my testimony, I felt God's love so strongly in my life. I started to know that He loves His children so much, including me. I am a part of His family. I really know that this Gospel is so true. I have no doubt to testify that Jesus is the Christ, He is our Savior and Redeemer. The Gospel means everything to me. I am a really happy person because of the Gospel. I love life and I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

Being a missionary is the biggest dream in my whole life. When President Thomas S. Monson announced that sisters can go on a mission at 19 years old, I decided to go on my mission right after my 19th birthday. I follow what God wants me to do and follow His servant. For me, going on a mission is the way I show my faith in Jesus Christ and how much I love Him.
