Hi I'm Rachel Condie

I grew up in Colorado. I have a love for music and people. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, UT and my parents moved when i was 2 to Colorado. There are many members who live in my town although we were still the minority. I have one brother and two sisters. I am the youngest. I was always so involved in school. I love music and love singing. I have been apart of some sort of choir for as long as I can remember. I find so much joy in singing and sharing that joy with others. My senior year my dad moved to Connecticut for a job opportunity and it was hard for me and my mom being away from him, so that i could finish high school. I love my family and we are really close. I am now going to college and will be serving a mission in a little over 2 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know of the truth that it brings to my life. I don't have a specific moment of conversion because I am continually converted everyday. People ask me why I am so happy all the time and it's because of the gospel in my life. I am following Christs example and trying to be a better person everyday. I have felt the spirit in my life and there is no denying it. There is nothing in the gospel that doesn't make sense to me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. As I read it everyday I get a little taste of truth. I know that it was written for our day. I know that I am a child of God and that he loves me and knows me personally. I know that Thomas S Monson is a prophet today, like those in the Bible, who receives revelation for me and my family. I know that my family can be together forever, even after this life. The gospel is a way for me to live a life that I want to live. It makes me unconditionally happy. I know that I never alone and that Christ died for me. I know He is the Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church so being Mormon and all that comes with it is normal to me. I am stubborn sometimes and I think that my faith is stronger than doing the everyday things, such as praying and reading the scriptures, but I know that as I do those things I become closer to Christ and my Father in Heaven. Life then becomes simpler. I have taught the 4 year olds and that has been my favorite calling in church so far. The kids understanding is so basic and simple yet their love of God is immense! It is also important because teaching them at a young age will be their stepping stone as they continue to grow in the gospel. I would be lying if I said that I was perfect in the gospel because I am not. There is always opportunity for me to learn and grow. I don't always do my visiting teaching but I do know that when I am taught, whether by home teachers or visiting teachers my life is blessed.
