Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a combat veteran, work for an oil company, lean to the left politically and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello - I'm a 35 year old (born in 1977) father of four. My wife and I have lived in several US states - and most recently in Alberta, Canada. When we have free time we love to be outdoors, go to museums and play board games - not a terribly thrilling life - but lots of fun.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of Jesus Christ - in particular the truths that are unique to Mormonism - give me hope in a world that feels chaotic and uncaring. It is incredibly reassuring to know that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I try to become a little better each day - I also try to "pay it forward" as much as I possibly can. I've spent nearly ten years volunteering as a youth leader in the Scouting program (both in Canada and the US). During most of those years my own children were too young for Scouts - but I genuinely enjoyed helping others' kids to learn and grow. I've also "coached" a few youth soccer teams - I use the word "coached" very loosely.
