Hi I'm McKay Barkdull

I was born and raised in Orem Utah. I love playing guitar and spending time outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of Ten siblings. I work at a performing theatre as an usher. I love playing guitar, I have played for about 7 years now. I love photography. I have won several awards for some of my work. I also love rock climbing, hiking, biking, exercising, and singing. I went to UVU and I report to the MTC January 30th 2013 and I am serving my mission in the California Oakland/ San Francisco Mission speaking the english language.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church, so I don't know what it is like to be a non member. But I have had experiences in my life where I had not met up to much of the commandments of the Lord. But once I repented of those mistakes and had truely come unto Christ, my life has been so much better. I can truely say that I know that this Gospel is the way that every one on this earth should be living because I have lived both sides of right and wrong. I know that Heavenly Father lives and that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. I love this Gospel and what it has to offer us. It is the right way to choose and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and participate in all three hours of church. I have two families that I home teach in my ward. I enjoy coming over to visit with them once a month, and also to help these families with any projects that they are in need of help with. I am currently serving in the California Oakland San Francisco Mission. I have been out for about 3 months now and I am loving every minute of it.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

McKay Barkdull
I believe that a testimony is not only the truth about Jesus Christ, or the Gospel, It's an understanding of what you know to be true. If somebody believes that Jesus is the Christ but Joseph Smith is not a prophet, then that is their testimony. My testimony is that I know Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Throughout our lives our testimony can and will grow as long as we live faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
