Hi I'm Brian

I am a husband and a father. I teach Math and I chose to become a Mormon.

About Me

My days are pretty full. I teach high school math and enjoy the subject and the kids. When that is done I get to take part in another of my loves, soccer as I help coach the school's teams. Finally, I get to come home to my greatest loves my wife and son. Rebecca is the love of my life and I thank God for bringing us together. Our son Carl is a sweet, caring, intelligent young man. I love spending my time with my family. I am also into sci-fi, movies and books, and am somewhat of a geek.

Why I am a Mormon

I came into contact with the Mormon Church through a friend of mine at Church. I spent the better part of a year investigating the church. I was able to really feel the spirit as I learned more about the Church. I woud learn about the doctrines and realize that I already knew these things to be true. However, it took me a while to decide to get baptized. I have always taken my faith seriously and any committment I made to God, I took very seriously. My friend suggested that we hold a fast to help me decide. No sooner had we begun when God blessed me with pure knowledge. I knew what God wanted me to do. I knew the Church was true and I needed to join it. Many of my friends were disappointed by my decision, but I have been truly blessed by my decision. My cousin asked me how. I told him, "Before I joined the Church, I noticed when I felt the spirit. Now I notice when I don't."

How I live my faith

I teach an early morning scripture study class for the high-school kids in our church. I am amazed by their dedication to the class. They show up at my door at 6:00 am every school day and we get to discuss God's plan for us and the amazng blessings available to us through Jesus Christ's life, teachings, sacrifice and ressurection. This time gets me in a positive spiritual mindset at the start of my day.
