Hi I'm Nikki

I am from VA. I love the outdoors! I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine! I am serving a mission in Utica NY!

About Me

I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I wish I would have found this church much earlier in my life, but I am thankful that I found it at the age of 18. I will be serving a mission in Utica, New York. After my mission I will attend Brigham Young Univeristy. Before joining the church, I always wondered about religions and about God, and just always felt like something was missing, but never put much more thought into it. Just a year or so before I was baptized into this church, I was baptized and joined my grandparent's church, which was a Baptist church, and it was a wonderful experience, but I did not have a strong testimony then, and the experience felt very temporary. Being a young convert is hard, especially being the only member in your family, but although hard, it has been the greatest blessing of my life and I will never regret it. I have only been a member for a year and a half now, and I have been blessed with so many opportunites and a wonderful and supportive church family. I am so grateful to have this true gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that through the power of the Holy Ghost, he did restore Christ's true church on to the Earth again. I love living this gospel. I love the people in this church. I love the missionary work and the service in this church. I am so excited to be a representative of Jesus Christ as I serve my mission. I love this church. I know that it is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is the word of God. The decision I made to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been the best decision of my life. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and that He knows our specific needs. I know that I was led to this church and I am grateful each and every day for who and where I am today.

How I live my faith

I am always up to and look forward to substituting to teach classes for Sunday School, especially Primary. Being a convert, I did not have the opportunity to learn the songs and fun things that the children get to learn at church. You can always feel the Spirit very strongly in Primary and all throughout the church. Outside of church, I love helping people. I love serving others and helping out any way I can. The feeling a person gets when helping others is indescribable. It is truly a blessing, not only for the people that you serve, but for you when you serve. Right now the biggest way that I am living my faith is by serving a mission in Upstate New York! I love it!
