Hi I'm Alex

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California close to San Diego. I am the oldest of four children, two boys and two girls. I have just recently graduated from high school and began college as an undecided major. I like to go camping and hiking, off-roading, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures. I also like to play board and video games with family and friends. I like restoring the family Jeep that my great grandfather has passed down to us. I also enjoy reading and watching movies and television shows.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because even though I am fairly young, I have seen the wonderful blessings in the lives of others as they have found and hearkened to the word of God. I have had the priveledge of doing the Lord's work as I have served others and befriended His children. I have been blessed to learn the words of the Lord and about His interactions with men and women. I am more thankful that I am able to be a member of the Church that enables me to have all of these wonderful things in my life than anything else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church services every Sunday, participating in Family Home Evening, an evening once a week where the family gets together to teach each other and have fun bonding, on Mondays, and fulfilling the responsibilities given to me by local church leaders. I visit the temple to participate in the sacred works that are found nowhere else on earth. I pray often to thank my Heavenly Father for what He has given me to be a steward over, to pray for others, and to ask for protection and guidance in making decisions. I look to be my brother's keeper by helping and serving others when they ask for it and when I see ways that I can make them happier. I strive to be friends with those around me and to be honest in my dealings so that people know they can trust me. Above all, I strive to love the Lord and to love others, even if they do things that I disagree with or do not feel the same way about me. The important word here is "strive," because I am far from achieving a perfect realization of the image described above, which I believe to be some what the Savior sees in me. In short, therefore, I strive to achieve the vision that the Savior has of what I can become.
