Hi I'm Nathan

What is life like as a LDS bishop, with a big family (8 kids), that works for the local school district? Let me tell you about it.

About Me

I've been married over 12 years. My wife and I have six kids. I work as a school psychologist helping students with learning or behavior difficulties. I enjoy playing the trumpet and orchestral music.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because it teaches me how to fully live the purpose of this life which is to have joy. I find the most joy in this life through my family and living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I work with the youth in the church. I assist in organizing and carrying out outdoor activities with the teenage boys. The activities challenge the boys to develop strength and courage in themselves and their abilities. For example, our most recent activity was a skiing trip which was no easy feat for a bunch of boys in southern California. I also organize activities that help the boys develop an understanding of who they are in relation to God and understand the purpose of life. I live my faith by raising a family. Raising children is no easy task but I am willing to do it because I believe that is why God sent me to earth and because the most joy in life comes through the family.
