Hi I'm Casey

I am from Southern Utah. I am currently serving a mission in Houston, Texas.

About Me

I graduated high school in Utah where I was on the golf and swim team. I was also the president of the National Honors Society. I am always looking for a good time with my friends and causing a ruckus. I live for Snowboarding, Longboarding, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After high school, I attended a semester of college in Orem, Utah. I like to take things easy. My main goal in life is to rear a righteous family while vacationing often to some tropic islands.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life, I have always been told that this is the true church. I wanted to believe my parents and church leaders because I loved and respected them for the example they set for me. However, it was through my own study and prayer that I have gained my own testimony of the gospel. It has happened slowly over time, and through the power of the Holy Ghost I have realized that I know that it is true. The manifestation I received from my Father through the Spirit was undeniable. I know He lives, and I know that this is His church. I learn and grow each day in my testimony of Jesus Christ. This Gospel of Jesus Christ is the best way to true happiness. Through His church and His priesthood authority we have full access to the Atonement which He performed. I am a Mormon because it is the only way to inherit all of the blessings that my Father wants for me.

How I live my faith

After I cam to an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have found that one of the best ways to live it is to share it. One of the ironies of life is that the more we give away of some things the more we get, so sharing my beliefs have in turn strengthened them. I always strive to be an example of a follower of Christ. I have made a promise to God to stand as a witness for Christ, so I will do my best to keep that on the forefront of my mind. That promise I made should affect each decision I make. I am currently serving a two year mission in Houston, Texas to try to bring others to the same knowledge of the Redeemer that I have gained.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

In the Book of Mormon we learn that this life is the time to prepare to meet God. We are all given agency, or the ability to choose for ourselves. The choices we make in this life weigh heavily on our potential in the life to come. Part of our purpose in this life is to be tested upon how we use this agency. We are sent here to learn and to grow; learn to love, obey, forgive, pass through trials and afflictions, and increase our faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
