Hi I'm Emiliie Llyn

I was born in New York and raised in 5 different states. I grew up in a military family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn pretty much anything. I crochet, sew, craft, sing, play the clarinet, guitar, piano, drums, and pretty much any other instrument I can get my hands on. I absolutely love school and love having friends at school who help support me in my faith and keep my standards high. I grew up in the church but was completely converted at the age of 14.

Why I am a Mormon

When my parents got married my mother was a member but my dad was not. When my sister and I were young my mother would take us to church so I was technically raised in the church. When I was about 4 or 5 years old my dad decided to join the church. Ever since his baptism he has had an amazing testimony and I really look up to him. He was able to baptize me, my sister, and my brother! I really looked up to my parents for their faith and testimonies but I didn't really seem to have one of my own until I was about 14. I was getting very frustrated that I didn't have a strong testimony like the other people my age so I decided to get down on my knees and ask if the church was true. As I began to get down on my knees I had a small feeling that I was being dumb that I already knew and I just didn't want to expand my faith. but I got down anyway and before I could even say anything i heard a very distinct voice say "Stand up! You know the answer to your prayers!" So I stood up and made a choice right then and there to do everything I can to immerse myself in the church and gain a stronger testimony. And I did! I am a Mormon because of that moment right there. I know The Lord knows who I am and hears my hearts deepest desire because in that moment he was with me. I know this church is true! I know that my redeemer lives. He DOES live! And it gives my great comfort to know this. I know this all for myself through personal revelation!

How I live my faith

I am in the presidency for the Youth Program at church and i love helping out. I plan most of the activities and fundraisers for our camps and conferences and make sure the other girls are as excited about it as me! I love the church and all it has done for me and all I can do for other people through/because of the church

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Emiliie Llyn
We believe that marriage between a man and woman is sacred and should only be between men and women. We do not judge though and love all those who consider themselves so-called gays and lesbians. If they do not act upon these inclinations, they can go forward as to all other members of the church. Show more Show less
