Hi I'm Paris Brower

I'm from Nampa, Idaho. A country girl convert. I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. :)

About Me

Only member of my family, I'm a country girl from Idaho. I love the outdoors, and with that anything camouflage. I have been in Mixed Martial Arts since I was seven. Martial Arts is how I've lived for my whole life. Growing up with a competitive attitude, I joined the high school wrestling team. I was the only girl on the team in the history of our school. But, with a need for competitiveness, I have also had three knee surgeries on my right knee, removing most the cartilage, I'm unable to do most the sports I love. In 2012 I meet an amazing man who just happen to return form his mission. We struggled with the law of Chasity but ended up falling in love and getting married July 12, 2013. The year that after we were married was especially hard on me particularly with my family not being supportive of us getting married let alone us working to get sealed into the temple. But the next July 2014 I was Endowed and we were Sealed. That so far was the greatest moment of my life. Now my husband and I are both very active in the church and fill our church callings. We are students and BSU and after graduating are looking forward to starting a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Idaho, I lived in a heavily populated LDS area. Most my friends were LDS all through out school. after years and years of pushing me, I finally agreed to take the missionary lessons. My first semester at Boise State University, I meet with the elders and enrolled in an institute class. Every lesson with the elders clicked. The more I read and studied the Book of Mormon, the more I came to know the church as true. The more I pray the closer I get to Heavenly Father, and the more I read I become more intune with the spirit. I love waking up on Sunday and taking the sacrament. I love hearing the lessons and the people I have become so close too. I know that there is a living profit today on the Earth that was chosen by our Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith restored the true church. I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

Being baptized at 18, my family was very upset. It was a struggle then and even though I am Married and Sealed in the Temple for it still is today. But I show them and all my friends that being baptized was the best thing I've ever done. I'm at church every Sunday. I work had to follow the commandments our Heavenly Father has given us. I try to read and understand the Book of Mormon, asking questions when I am confused. More than less asking the same question again and again, trying to fulfill my calling. Its hard. My family and people I love and care for the most discourage me, not understanding or refusing to see that I know what I believe to be true. The spirit and my faith keeps me strong. And I continue to try and show them, including myself, that I know this church is true
