Hi I'm Euijin Oh

I live in Korea. I'm the oldest of eight children. I love baking and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of eight children. This kind of huge family is not common in Korea. "Having been born of goodly parents," I've learned much and grown much in the gospel. Gospel of Jesus Christ is a inseparable part of our lives. I cannot imagine how different ourlives would be from now if we didn't have the gospel. I'm so grateful that I've learned the truth since I was very young. I was attending Brigham Young University in Hawaii, but I discontinued for my mission. I was assigned to serve in Korea Busan Mission. I knew that there were the people who needed me to teach them the truthfulness of the gospel. I was very grateful for the opportunity to serve. I was very excited for that. My mission was truly wonderful. I and my companions worked hard to fulfill our purpose as a missionary─helping others come unto Christ. We'd seen so many miracles because God was with us. Many lives had been touched and changed. I cannot express how grateful I am for the experiences that I had on my mission. There were some moments that were hard, but later, l came to understand why Heavenly Father let them happen. Even though not all the decisions that I'd made during those moments were the best, I'd tried my best to know and follow God's will. I'll cherish those refining moments because I've grown much because of that. My mission as a full-time missionary has ended. But I know that my mission as a missionary is never ended. I'm trying, and I'll keep trying my best in the work of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of the church. Therefore, I have had the gospel for whole my life. That has been such a great blessing to me. Even though there have been lots of trials, God has given me much strengh to overcome them through my faith in Christ. That has helped me regard the trials as precious refining moments not terrible nightmare. Because of that, I could choose to live happy. I know that the gospel is true. I know that God lives and loves us. Because He loves us, He gave us lives on earth, and He gave us families. He blesses us through our families, and the happiness that we get in our families can be forever through His eternal plan. His plan is perfect and wonderful. If we follow the path that He prepared for us, we can return to our loving Heavenly Father and be happy forever. The journey is not easy, and sometimes it seems to require too much of us; however, it is worth it. all the sacrifices that we've had will be blessings more than what we can imagine. I also know that our Heavenly father listens and talks to us through prayer. By my own experience, I know that prayer is real. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith, who translated the Book of Mormon was a true prophet of God. God restored His gospel through him. I know that this church is the same church that was established by Jesus Christ in his earthly ministry. I know that because I prayed about it. God answered my prayer through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ really happened. Because of that, we can be freed from our sins. Because of that, all things that are unfair will be made right. Because of that, we can achieve great things beyond our own strength. Truly, it is the greatest expression of God's love. How blessed I am for all the blessing that I have in this gospel! I'm so happy to be a mormon.

How I live my faith

My family open and close the day together by having family prayer and scripture reading. Because there are so many members in my family and everyone has different schedule, we need to wake up really early to do that. It is hard for some of my siblings who are young, but they do their best to do it. I think that is the very base of our faith. Daily family prayer, scripture reading, weekly family home evening, weekly church attendance... Even though they seem small, it has helped us grow closer together and build our faith in Jesus Christ. We also visit people to share our love with them. Sometimes I bake cookies or cakes for that. It's really fun and rewarding. There are many different ways that we live our faith; however, I can describe our life style in one way. We simply trust God, and He is with us and guides us. I live my faith with my family doing God's will and trusting Him in all things.
