Hi I'm Nick

I grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I love to learn. I love theater. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Nick, and I'm a mormon. I go to college, am about to leave on my LDS mission, I love to do theater, and I love to learn. And I actually love this Gospel so much because it's all about learning and progressing. It's always awesome to learn about using the Atonement in my life to help me become a better, stronger person.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted to know how things really were in life. I wanted to know if there was a God, and if there was one, which Church really was HIs. I was already a Mormon when I asked this, but I had this burning in my soul, and I needed to know if my church really was God's church. Slowly but surely I received my answer. I felt this Church wasn't built or directed by people, but that this Church was God's and it was built FOR people. I didn't learn The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true because someone else told me, I learned it was true because I asked God and He told me. And the great thing is, this Church is wonderful! It's based on progression and learning, and it's so much fun. When this Gospel is lived the way it's supposed to be, there is so much love in your own soul, and in the souls of everyone around you, that no one goes uncared for. When this Gospel is lived right, everyone loves everyone, and everyone has so much fun, and no one goes unnoticed. This Gospel really does teach us how to become like Jesus Christ. If I could hope for any Church to be the true one, I would hope for this one. And, lucky for me, I lucked out and learned for myself that it is.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through obedience. I know that progression is based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and whenever we obey Christ, we become better, happier, people. So, when Christ says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments", I do. I also live my faith through participating in the programs this church offers. The Home Teaching program ensures that every family in the congregation is taken care of. I serve as a home teacher by visiting famiilies I've been assigned to and by helping them with whatever they need. Another way I llive my faith is by donating 10% of all my financial earnings to the church to be used for building meeting houses, temples, taking care of the poor, and other important causes.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

I am right about to leave for my mission, and it's being paid for by myself, my parents, and friends and family. An LDS mission costs about ten to twelve thousand dollars, and I've been saving up to go on mine for over three years. Because I haven't been able to earn enough by myself, my family and friends are helping me out. Show more Show less
