Hi I'm Spencer Stubbs

I grew up in Utah. I am an outdoor enthusiast. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I graduated from high school early so I could work more to pay for college. I have completed one semester of study, and had the time of my life! During my first semester I decided that I would serve a mission. I love rock climbing, slacklining, and backpacking, so I spend as much time as I can out in nature.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mother raised me in the LDS church without my Father. I grew up attending meetings but until I was 17, I had never cared to know whether the church was true or not. Furthermore, I did not know if there was a God or anything of those sorts. Until I was 17, I had been making extremely poor decisions and as I realized that my life was not permitting me to feel peace, I turned to religion to find harmony. I briefly looked into other religions, but found my peace in the LDS religion. As I hesitantly talked to my bishop, confessing sins and such, the Lord rewarded me with a few great and sacred miracles that truly humbled me and touched my soul. After these significant events, I knew that this church was God's church and knew that the Book of Mormon was 100% true. Being a Mormon has brought so much joy to my life and I try to share it with anyone around me that they may experience the happiness it brings. I sure love our Lord and am grateful for Christ's atonement.

How I live my faith

During my time at a University, living my faith became extremely important to my life. I regularly visited many people from my ward for hometeaching. I was also in charge of helping to organize ward prayer meetings. These were meetings that were held every Sunday for our college ward, that consisted of creating unity between the members and sharing spiritual insights and thoughts between one another.
