Hi I'm Hayden Spencer

My name is Whitey, I love being active, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Hayden Spencer, nicknamed "Whitey". I grew up in Ogden Utah, moved to Longmont Colorado for eight years of my life, and came back to Plain City Utah (just outside of Ogden) for high school. I am really active and always have to be doing something. My favorite sports to play are basketball and soccer and I spend a lot of time doing both, but I love any kind of physical challenge. I'm very competitive, which can be good and bad, but its my driving force to become better. I love being outside; fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, golfing, skiing, four wheeling, etc. I love my family and friends and always look for good influences to be around in my life. I'm the oldest of 4 kids and I'm my parents favorite by far. I am pretty shy until you get to know me at which point I become pretty outspoken and fairly outgoing. I stick to a closer knit group of friends and that suits me just fine. I love spending time with my family, especially on vacation, and I have many awesome memories of times I've had with them. My Dad is my best friend, as well as my little brother Corbin, and that's been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I love being happy or at least trying to do things that I know will allow me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? The Church does so many good things, has so many amazing people, offers so many opportunities to grow, to learn, and to better your life that it would only make sense to become a part of it. Wherever the Mormons are is where I would like to be also; what an outstanding group of people who have so much love and joy and hope. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord, Jesus Christ, and strive to follow Him in my life. I'm a Mormon because it brings my family closer together and helps me understand where I came from before this life, why I am here, and where I have the opportunity to go, and what I have the opportunity to become after this life. I am a Mormon because all of the good that God has to offer, is available here.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by spending time with my family, making good friends, and having fun. Living the Gospel is a 24/7 thing for me, as I feel it should be for everyone. I consciously make an effort to see Gods hand in all of the details of my life and I know that it helps me understand and do His will. I live my faith by following the pattern of happiness found in the Scriptures and living by the words of our living Prophets and Apostles. I live my faith by inviting everyone to enjoy the same blessings God has blessed me with. I guess you could say I live my faith by allowing my faith to live inside of me. Currently I am serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have devoted two years of my life to serve God and His children, and though some may call it a sacrifice I would consider it a blessing and an opportunity.
