Hi I'm Maren

I am a sister, aunt and a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and love to spend time in the mountains, be outside and enjoy nature. Hiking is one of my new found hobbies. I definitely appreciate having a nice warm bed to go back to though. I love to read and spend time with my family. I have a really big family and I love them all! I hope to one day expand my family by adding a husband and children of my own. For now though, I am focusing my time and efforts on serving The Lord in the Tennessee Nashville Mission. I enjoy helping others in any way that I can. I believe that through The Lord and a bit of hard work we can accomplish anything.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel has blessed my life so much and continues to do so each and everyday. My parents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and it has always been a part of my life. I may not know every detail of the gospel but I do know the comfort and peace that it brings to me on a daily basis. As questions and struggles arise in my life I am able to find the answers and solutions that I need to put me at ease. I know that Jesus Christ did live and die for me and that through the atonement I will be able to live with Heavenly Father again. I believe that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and he was a faithful servant of the Lord. Reading from the Book of Mormon invites the spirit into my life and helps me feel the love that my Father in Heaven has for me as an individual. I strive to do my best and faithfully serve the Lord in all that He asks me to do, so that He will be pleased with my actions when I am able to see Him again.

How I live my faith

I thoroughly enjoy going to church each week. It is so refreshing to begin each week with the right perspective and a clean slate. I love to visit with the other ladies in my ward and have become very close with many of them. I believe that keeping the sabbath day holy is so important and that it will help us remember to show our faith the others 6 days of the week as well. Throughout the week I strive to serve others, pray often, and read from the scriptures each day. This is what helps me remember all that my savior Jesus Christ has done for me so I can live each day the way that he would want me to.
