Hi I'm Tanner

Life is Good! You guessed it I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Tanner. I love to get involved with anything and everything. I was a 4 time state champion in Cross Country and Track in high school. I thoroughly enjoy getting others excited about running and exercise. I volunteered in a service learning P.E. class connected with special olympics and loved every minute of it. I learned so much from the kids I helped, like how to enjoy life and to always remember to have a smile. I worked at a running specialty shop where I was able to continue to help others fall in love with running. Currently I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to help people fall in love with my other joy in life, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope to share my excitment about the gospel of Jesus Christ with others so they can experience the same joy I do.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Mormon faith brings me much happiness. The church has given me many opportunities for growth and development. My overall personality has been positively influenced more through the church than through any motivational speaker, teacher, or book that I've ever seen, heard, or read. The popular W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets show the importance of following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. The most important thing that the Mormon faith teaches is just that. I have an immense love for Jesus Christ and the example he set for me. Everyday I try to be more like him and as I do I feel more happiness and peace than I ever thought I could.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving life 110%. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has brought so much happiness in my life and I feel that the best way I can live my faith is by having a positive attitude and trying to help others feel happy and loved. As my coach would say "Attitudes are contagious!" and I want to be spreading positive vibes rather than negative ones. I try my best to always have a smile, to have something nice to say to someone, and by looking at the bright side of life. I do this in the halls of school, in the locker room, at work, and through my church callings. I know if Jesus Christ were on the earth he would be kind to everybody and I want to follow his amazing example.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

God has blessed us with our bodies and the best way to show our gratitude to Him is by respecting what He has given us. We can do this by eating healthy foods, exercising, and avoiding harmful and addictive substances. As we do these things we feel more self-confident, we are more likely to love, and our minds stay sharp and clear. We are also better able to serve others and make meaningful contributions to our society. By taking care of our bodies we are maximizing our potential to become the best we can be. Show more Show less
