Hi I'm Lauren

I love Texas! I am currently serving a mission in Pocatello, ID. I love my family and the outdoors, and guess what? I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Lauren McKnight. I am 19 years old I LOVE to be silly and goof around. I love to smile and laugh. I am the oldest of 6 kids, I adore each and every one of my siblings, my family is my world. Reading is one of my favorite things to do, it gives me an opportunity to escape and learn. The outdoors consume me. Hiking, camping, skiing, swimming, playing tennis, just laying in the sun all are some of my favorites. One thing that brings me a lot of happiness is working with mentally handicapped kids or adults, they teach me so much from their example. I go to BYU. I am a Business major with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior. I want to minor in Spanish. I play tennis. I prefer glasses to contacts. I like to help and include people. I strive everyday to live worthily to represent the Savior's name.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing brings my more joy than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect, i've made mistakes and through Jesus Christ I can be forgiven. I am made whole by His undying and unconditional love. I know without a doubt that He is my Savior, my Redeemer. He loves us so much, and I can feel it every day, in the little things and the big. I know His hand is in my life. I know our Heavenly Father is there for us and has a plan for each and every one of us. He is there to offer comfort and support. When I am sad, or feeling alone I can feel His arms around me. We must trust in His plan and not in ours, because He knows what is best for us. I know that Heavenly Father will help us when we ask Him too, we must also do our part though, He will never leave us. I know the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have prayed about it and been testified to by the Holy Ghost that the stories are true. I know that through prayer many of our questions can be answered. I also know that prayers is a huge tool in our lives. I know that as we live our life we should try to pattern our lives after the Saviors. I believe that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I believe that he receives modern day revelation to help guide us. I believe in what he says. I strive to everyday to be an example in action of the values and teachings I have been taught.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an example in action to those around me. I have a strong belief that actions speak louder than words. I strive to display my Christ-like attributes and beliefs through the places I put myself in, the service I do for others, the love I try to display and through using kind words. As we live our lives like Christ and pattern our lives after the Savior, others will be drawn to the light of Christ in us and the joy we have.
