Hi I'm Ingrid Ochoa

I'm Ingrid Ochoa. I'm an Illustration major. I love creating things, eating things, and learning languages. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love drawing and writing stories! I also love painting. I'm an Art Major studying Illustration and Graphic Design. Before my mission I worked in a company that produced iPhone apps and did some graphic design for that! It's really fun! :) Right now I'm serving as a missionary in Taiwan, I enjoy sharing my testimony to everyone I talk to! I also enjoy eating all sorts of interesting foods here in Taiwan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. I was born and raised in the church, and I've always had a strong faith in this gospel. I then decided to serve a full-time mission. I was called to Taiwan. It was not untill I got on my mission that I had some experiences that made me truly kneel down in supplication to know if it's all really true. One day we met a woman on the street who shared with me the love she felt for Jesus Christ and how she really felt her own church was true. This was a really confusing and scary moment in my mission. The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is all that I am, and if it's not the true one, then who am I? Where is the truth? How do I find it? Can I really find it? I wanted to know; I had to know! I decided to follow what we missionaries teach: 1) Kneel down in supplication to get a real answer. Which would require a lot of patience and sincerity. 2) Read & pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true. Because if it was true, then this church is true. 3) Keep all the commandments! A week later we were teaching someone. And as I started teaching her about the Book of Mormon, I started sharing how the Book of Mormon helps me in my life. And then this realization just came to me and it was like a clear understanding filled with peace and it just had this sweet joy to it. I knew the Book of Mormon was true. I knew through the power of the holy Spirit that it was true! My prayer had been answered!

How I live my faith

As a missionary in Taiwan I get to share my faith and testimony with everyone all the time! My favorite thing to do as a missionary is to let everyone know about how through the gospel of Jesus Christ and through temples, we are able to be sealed to our families for eternities!

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Ingrid Ochoa
They will be guides to let you know what you can do to get closer to God, and to get to know his Son Jesus Christ. The missionaries will invite you to keep some commitments like, start praying and reading everyday and to start coming to church on Sundays. It is your option to accept and act upon the message and invites. They will also invite you to set a goal for Baptism, but don't worry because they will explain the purpose and all the great blessings that you'll recieve with it. :) Show more Show less
