Hi I'm Moe Gonzales

I am currently a Missionary for the Church, i love singing, i am a yoga finatic, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Morgan Gonzales. I go by Moe to my friends and family. I come from a blended family. I am the oldest of 7 at one house, and the second youngest of five at the other. I am currently 19 years old preparing to serve an LDS mission to Trujillo Peru. I just finished my first semester at Utah State University studying Communications, with an emphasis in Public Speaking, and now I am living in Texas working to save money. I am an assistant in the PPA Real Estate Management corporate office. But that stuff is all boring. Now down to the "Nitty-Gritty": :) I love to sing! Singing is my passion. I love to perform Broadway and country. I also play piano and guitar. I taught voice lessons, piano and now I have my FIRST Guitar student! I clogged for 12 years, competing all over Utah. I am a daddy's girl. I am also a daughter of God. I am a victim of sexual abuse. My family has come a long way, and thanks to the gospel, my family is tight knit and I love them all. Every single one of them. My mom lives in Utah, with my step dad and six kids. My dad lives in Texas with my step mom. Her three kids (all older and moved out) live in Washington and Utah. They are not LDS, in fact they are anti-mormon. I am a first Generation Mormon. And I love it! I am different. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I FINALLY realized that I cannot do this life on my own. I've learned the hard way that I need extra help to get through my days. I am so flawed, I make the most stupid mistakes, and I can hardly function with out the Holy Ghost guiding me. I've learned that serving, loving, and representing Christ in everything I do gives me strength. It makes me a better person every day. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing I am improving my life and helping others. I give credit to God and this church for who I am now. I know I wouldn't be who I am today with out it. This church is about being Christ like and self improvement; For really living for God, and for being a representative of Him. I want people to look at me and see my joy. I want them to see me and think "I want what she has". It isn't worldly possessions, It isn't temporary happiness. It is eternal Joy through this gospel. I am in awe everyday in how much I am blessed. I don't know what I did to deserve all the good in my life. I give credit to my Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Through our church I've had the amazing opportunity to learn Leadership. Humbly I was asked to lead the Young Women and plan activities for them once a week to build unity and a bond. There is strength in numbers, you know. But after I graduated and moved onto college, I had the opportunity to join a larger "sisterhood" if you will, and be a part of women my age and older who serve each other. Their spirit is of genuine service and love. I was assigned to go with another woman to serve two sisters. We were able to sit down and befriend them and create a relation ship with them. We help each with their kids, bring them meals when they're sick and help them in any way possible. I've learned that serving teaches you to love on a completely different level. I was also asked to help plan activities for these women as well. We call it "Enrichment", and we get together and develop new skills, learn homemaking techniques. Building friendships bring women closer together. Then they bring it home, and that is were it all starts right? I love to serve. I love to lead, I love this CHURCH! I'm pleased to say, that from my experience, only good things have come.
