Hi I'm Eloy Fonseca

I love sports. I like a challenge. I never give up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of five children in my family from two loving parents. I have 2 nephews and 2 nieces and would do anything for them. I was born in the beautiful country of Argentina and migrated to the United States as a child. Being Argentine, I love soccer. I love every aspect of it. I enjoy playing and watching it with my father. I cherish all the moments I have with my family, they mean everything to me. Although we sometimes do not agree on everything, at the end of the day we all love each other and respect one another. My parents are my inspiration. If they can move to a new country and become successful, I can accomplish the goals which I set for myself. I completed my AA degree at Long Beach Community College. While attending school there, I attended the LDS Institute of Religion which is a place of learning which is centered on Christ. I cherish the relationships with the friends I have and know that they will be my friends for eternity. For now my goal is to serve an honorable mission and connect with the people who I am meant to find.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents were converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as teenagers, so I was raised in the Gospel. As a child I did not comprehend the simple truths that were being taught to me. As a teenager I made some decisions that i am not proud of, but because of the simple truths I had learned as a child I knew I could turn to our Lord and Savior. After feeling the power of his atonement and rowing in the gospel I can say that I know that my redeemer lives. I know that no matter how many times I fall, he is always there to pick me up and heal my wounds. I know that he was crucified and died for me and that as long as I am willing to recognize and repent for the wrong I done, I can be forgiven through his redeeming grace. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the only way to return to our Heavenly Father and to have eternal life. I am a Mormon because I have never been happier in my life, and I know that I feel this happiness because I am striving to live my life according to His will. I am Mormon because I know that my family is eternal, and the relationships I build here on earth will be eternal. I am Mormon because I have felt the power of His atonement in my life. I have felt Christ's infinite love and mercy wash away my sins and it is something that everyone else should experience as well.

How I live my faith

serving in a calling changes the way you view the people you are serving. I have had the opportunity to work with the young men. With the young men of our church we do many fun and spiritual activities. We are associated with the Boy Scouts of America, and do many activities so that our young men can become Eagle Scouts. Through working with them, I have noticed how strong our youth are in their believes. I have grown a more meaningful and special love for the young men I served, and those who I served with. Home teaching has been a great opportunity to grow closer to people I would have not had a great relationship otherwise. Home teaching is also a great opportunity to see if a family is struggling so that they can get the help they need. Though I am not perfect, I try to be an example to the people around me by living my faith.
