Hi I'm Emily

I'm a high school Spanish teacher. I love working with people and learning about other cultures. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a high school Spanish teacher for the past 12 years. Last year, after 18 years in singles wards, I finally met the man that would be my eternal companion. He was worth the wait! We are looking forward to starting our own family. I love to travel, teach, read, watch movies, and work with the youth of the church and in my school. My biggest goal in life is to visit all of the 1000 places to see before you die.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is one of the things that helps me get through all of the other hard things that happen to us in life. I know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and I love Him. This knowledge has helped me to weather the many storms that life has sent my way. Knowing that the Church is true is my guiding light. Knowing that I can have a personal relationship with the Savior lifts me up on a daily basis. As is often said, "With God, nothing is impossible!" This is the source of true happiness for me.

How I live my faith

I love the church. My parents are converts, but I have been a member of the church for all of my life. I have worked in pretty much every way you can in a congregation from being a musical director to serving on the welcoming committee. I am currently working with the teenage girls in our ward, and I love getting to see young people learning to make good decisions in their lives and being surrounded by strong people.
