Hi I'm Stephanie

Serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love my family! I grew up in Utah in a family of 7. I love music, especially performing vocally. I've been involved in theater for a good chunk of my life. I really enjoy making people smile and laugh. I love sunshine, furry animals and the outdoors. I enjoying spending time with my friends and listening to good music.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I grew up in the church, with loving parents and an amazing family. But the decision to become a member was entirely my own. When I turned 8 years old I was given the choice to be baptized and become a member of the church. I knew that I wanted to become a member, and I knew it was what I needed to do for myself. Growing up in such an incredible home with such wonderful and uplifting people inspired me to be like them. My Primary teachers taught me the importance of not only learning the teachings of the prophets, but of striving to live them. The happiness that comes from learning and living these principles is absolutely amazing. It changes lives. Nothing is more amazing to me, than seeing the difference in countenance and overall joy and happiness of those who are learning of Christ. I have felt that joy in my own life. In times of trouble, the answers to life can be so muddled and confusing, but the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints make everything so clear. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who knows my name, my story and my heart. I know that he hears and answers my prayers. I know that I have an older brother, Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for my sins. I know that He was resurrected. I know that He knows me, and has guided me through some of the hardest trials in my life. I know that I lived with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in Heaven, and that someday I can return to live with them again. I also know that I have never had to bear anything alone, nor will I ever. When I make mistakes, I can be forgiven. I know that Jesus Christ has his hand outstretched to us all, and that he wants us to return to him. I have felt this; and it is so wonderful and precious to me to know that I am never alone. In the darkest moments of my life, I have felt that calming peace come over me saying: "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10)

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints in the area of Fort Worth Texas. I'm so excited to teach the gospel and bring the joy I have every day to others. I love seeing people learn how to make changes in their lives so that they can come closer to Christ and develop a relationship with God. Deciding to serve a mission was the greatest descision of my life.
