Hi I'm Heidi Kriser

I live on a farm in Florida. I'm going on a mission to Germany for 18 months. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fifth of eight children and I love my big family! We love getting together as often as we can on the farm where we grew up. I love to be involved and moving! Basketball, soccer, football, and volleyball are all sports that I love and enjoy playing as often as I can. I also love hiking, biking, running, snowboarding, and almost all water sports. I also love Traveling! This last summer I had an amazing experience touring Holland for a week, and then spent a month in Kenya helping in an orphanage there. It was an amazing experience and I hope to be able to do more humanitarian work in the future. I am currently in college studying exercise physiology, but I am taking a break to serve an LDS mission in the Germany Berlin Mission for 18 months. I love this gospel and the happiness that is has brought to me and my family, and I am excited to help others to find the happiness that I have found through Jesus Christ and this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is where God wants me to be, and I know I am doing what God wants me to be doing with my life. I was born into a Mormon family, but as I matured I wanted to know if everything I had been taught was true. I wanted to personally choose my faith so I began to study and pray. By the time I was 14 I had read the Book of Mormon almost four times, and did my best to follow the teachings of the Mormon faith. I could see the Lords blessings to my family and I, and I could see that the "fruits" of living by the Mormon faith were good. I began to see friends getting into trouble, and their families breaking apart and knew that ways of the world would only bring sadness. As I continued to pray, I simply received the impression that what I was learning was right and good, and that it would only bring me happiness. There was never any fireworks or burning bushes to tell me that I was in the right church, but day by day my testimony grew as I continued to see the good "fruits" of my actions and beliefs. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, and of Joseph Smith who was its translator. A wicked lying man could have never brought the word of God to the Earth, and I know he was a servant of the Lord. I continue to see the blessing of living this gospel, and it brings happiness to me and my family. I love the Lord Jesus Christ, and am so thankful that he died for me so I can find full happiness with my family, and be saved in his kingdom forever.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have served in the church as the ward pianist, as a coordinator for certain programs, and as a visiting teacher. Growing up I was also on our stake youth committee, and I was able to help organize and conduct youth conferences and dances. Then last summer I got a job as a counselor for an LDS youth camp in Idaho. For eight weeks I was able to work with youth as we read scriptures, listened to speakers, participating in faith building activities, and built relationships with each other and with our Savior Jesus Christ. I love working with the Youth, and they have so much potential.
