Hi I'm Ellen

I grew up in Knoxville, TN and I am serving in the California Carlsbad Mission.

About Me

I come from a family of six children. I am number four and the first one to serve a mission. I am serving in the California Carlsbad mission and I love it! I have fallen head over heels in love with my mission. I love puting myself out there, meeting new people, hearing their stories, and teaching them how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bless their lives. What more could a girl ask for?

Why I am a Mormon

I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know Heavenly Father loves us and knows us so personally. He will never abandon us, and He will never leave us alone. I know that if we only do as He asks us, we can return to Him. Sometimes we mess up. Sometimes more than once. But through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we are able to repent and start over. It's not easy being a member of this Church, but it is the most right thing in the world. I know that not everyone in the Church follows the rules, and some struggle with addiction, but I believe everyone can be better if someone is just willing to stretch out their hand and help them back up. By the love and example of Jesus Christ, we can do that. I know the Book of Mormon is true. It is the most true book in the world, and it has helped me in life so many times. I know Heavenly loves us and that families can be together forever. I think that is one of the sweetest gifts of all.

How I live my faith

Sometimes it's not enough to tell people about the goodness of the Gospel. A lot of times we have to show them how it can bless our lives. We could tell people all day how great and wonderful it is to live the teachings of Jesus Christ, but sometimes they have to see someone enjoying the gifts the Gospel brings before they try it out for themselves. We can show them by keeping the covenants we made when we were baptized. We bear one another's burdens, stand as witnesses of God, and remember the Savior & His Atonement in everything we do.
