Hi I'm Tyler

I'm on a mission in Sweden. I like sleep. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've gone to college and studied a bit at Utah State University (GO AGGIES!). I studied business and can't wait to get back to it. I am currently serving a mission in Sweden and love the people here. I love to sleep and take it easy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've prayed and asked God what direction I should take in my life. I've studied and done my part and have received an answer that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church here on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking 2 years out of my normal life to leave my family, friends, and home to come here to Sweden to help the people here. I teach and serve and look to lift others as Christ did.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Service is one of the backbones of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although everyone has to make money, everyone should also give service so that they can sacrifice, learn, and grow. If you put forth work and effort and you're not being paid, you must truly be devoted and want to do that work. The same concept applies to the clergy for Mormons. Those who serve in the clergy don't need to be paid to be willing to serve and help. Think back to Jesus Christ and his ministry. When he called apostles, he told them to put down their nets and join him. They left their jobs and joined Jesus Christ because they loved him and wanted to serve, not because of the money. Although we aren't asked to give up our jobs today, if Christ's church were on the Earth and we were to serve only part-time, shouldn't we be willing to giver service to the church and to others without being paid?
