Hi I'm Mia

I'm a humble human but Jesus saved me anyway. Recent convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a junior in college studying Communication and Russian. For my sophomore year of college, I attended a university in England, where I learn about my self, my faith, and my faults. I am not a perfect human being, but I strive to become better everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. I converted to the church when I was 20, and I love the decision I made everyday. My discovery of the church began a year before that, on the internet. I ran across a lot of scary things. Once I returned to America, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I talked to the missionaries. The one thing I noticed is that they had an answer for everything. Gone was the doubt, or the "I don't knows" other churches had (and believe me, I looked at a LOT of churches). They vigilantly studied the scriptures to give me answers to every question I had. I read the Book of Mormon. And suddenly, it was like someone told me the sky was blue. I saw that it was blue. I knew that it was blue. There was no going back to thinking the sky was green, or purple, or black. Once I accepted the scriptures to be true, I still struggled. There were other things I had to think about, to decide to give up. However, every thing I "gave up" I got blessings from. I was healthier. I became better friends with people. And most of all, I learned to love and accept everyone. I was baptized on a December afternoon, and it was the best day of my life thus far. This is my conversion story.

How I live my faith

I am lucky. My congregation has welcomed me with loving and warm arms. I do genealogy work for the ward, which brings me a lot of enjoyment. I am a single adult, so I do a lot of activities with other people my age. My ward is very small compared to some, so luckily I get to interact with a lot of different people and learn about their lives. I love it.
