Hi I'm Rachelle

I have traveled to and performed in many countries. I love new adventures. I'm a Mormon. =)

About Me

I am 20 years old, I love to perform, and my family members are my favorite people to hang out with!!!=) When I was young I was pretty shy unless I was on stage. For some reason when I got on stage I was transformed into a confident, incredibly happy person! Overtime I came to realize that I didn't like being shy. I wanted to change. I had felt the joy of being myself on stage and in the privacy of my home, but it was time to let go of my fears and be confident in who I was/am. I have never regretted that decision! While I still have fears, I am confident and happy and have a peace knowing that I don't have to worry about who I am anymore=) I love trying new things! I know that no matter what may stand in our way, we can overcome everything, especially as we turn to the Lord for help=)

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons that I am a member it would be hard to make a list!! I think one of the biggest reasons is because I have asked if the Book of Mormon (another testament of Christ) is true. If it is really inspired words from God. So many times I have gotten on my knees and plead to know if this book is still God's word. So many times my prayer has been answered with the Spirit; both through gentle feelings of peace, as well as overpowering feelings of YES!=) I have prayed to know if this church is God's church, the same church Jesus Christ set up on the Earth when He was here. Again the answer comes: YES!!=) I have prayed to know if I should follow the different standards and commandments, and if I should listen to the counsel of leaders: YES!!=) I have asked if Thomas S. Monson is truly God's chosen prophet on the Earth, like a modern-day Moses....YES YES YES!!!!!!!!=))) I have taken and applied the verse from the Bible James 1:5 and found that not only are my prayers answered but they all point me to this church!=)

How I live my faith

The biggest way will always be by example. Many people say they believe something, but until they act it is hard to believe it. Currently, I am serving in the Canada Winnipeg Mission!=) For 18 months I have chosen to leave behind my family, friends, school, and everything else, to tell people the wonderful news that Jesus Christ lives!!!!=) Not only that He lives, but that because He lives we too can live and be set free from the burdens upon us!=)

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Rachelle
Young men between the ages of 18 and 25 that are physically and emotionally capable are asked to serve mission. Women starting at the age of 19 are able to serve missions as well though they are not specifically asked to by the prophet. However, all decisions to go on a mission are voluntary.
