Hi I'm Aaron

I am a small town boy, I love farming, I love my family, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town, I am the youngest of 6 children. My grandpa and grandma were married in 1953 and later purchased 80 acres, so my family was planted here and we have deep roots and now my family runs a 6700 acre farm. Some of my earliest memories have been riding around with my dad in the tractors and trucks, and checking crops and running around and fixing equipment. My grandpa instilled a love for farming in my dad and now my dad has instilled it in me. When I was in my early teens I started listening to Johnny Cash and love his music, so later on I picked up a guitar and learned to play, and love playing. I performed a little and sometimes would do Johnny Cash inpersinations, even wearing a black suit. I also pick up a hobby in high school, and loved to work on anything that has wheels and moves, and this hobby has helped me on the farm working on tractors, trucks, even my own vehicle at times.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons that I am a Mormon. I know and believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints has the fullness of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Savior taught us many things and showed us the way to live, and I am proud to be apart of a organization that teaches me these things and helps me to live them. I also know that in these days God would call a Prophet and have a Prophet on the earth, and through this Prophet teach people and reveal to them important things that they need to know. I know that the Savior Died for my sins and all the sins in the world. I have read and thought about the Savior and peace comes to me when I do, it has been important to me to know that some day through Him I can return to heaven, be clean, and be with my family again. I know that as we impliment His teachings in our lives, and in our families, that we can enjoy many blessings and have happiness in our lives no matter what happens.

How I live my faith

In January 2010 I was called to serve in the Denver Colorado area on a two year mission teaching people about God and His Son Jesus Christ. At this time my Mom was very sick and later after receiving the call was told she would only live for a matter of months. This was a difficult time for my family, and one night as i was thinking about postponing my mission she called me in to her bedrrom and had a talk with me. She told me about her mission that she served, and how much she loved it, it was the best 18 months of her life. Then she told me how God and His Son Jesus Christ had changed her life and told me that I needed to trust God, and go out and be the best missionary I could be. This had a great impact on me. Six months into my mission my mother passed away, and at this time I learned three things. One, that God and His Son Jesus Christ know me personally and the trials that I go trough. Two, that when we encounter hard times and deal with them in the right ways, Prayer, Scripture Study, Attending Church, That we come closer to Them and feel the love that They have for us. Three that Gods greatest gift to us is our Familys and that Family can be together forever. Now after my mission I am in a small congregation, we are like family, and I know that even though I am not on my mission anymore I can still have the opportunity to serve there in many ways.
