Hi I'm Nate

I grew up in Las Vegas. I work at a car wash. I ride motorcycles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love motorcycles. Currently I'm riding a scooter but my Dad just bought a can-am spyder. It totally rocks. I work at a car wash. In high school I was a bit of a social butterfly. I loved fun, friends, and the combination of the two. Recently I've picked up reading. Kind of a nerd. I really like Lord of the RIngs. Don't judge me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'd be untruthful if I told you my "conversion story" was magnificent. But it was magnificent to me. I grew up LDS. My father was a pastor of sorts to our local meetinghouse. I was raised to believe that Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith restored the full gospel to the earth, and that family was most important. However in teen years I decided that I was going to find my own way. The world was enticing. After several years of meandering through life I went away to school. I knew that I wanted to get out of my home (family tensions) so I decided that St. George, Utah was the place to go. It was close enough, but far enough away as well. I could see the happiness in my fellow classmates and roommates. I decided that my life needed to turn around. I swallowed my pride enough to take baby steps to finding God. Luckily, I had a place to start. I started to read the Book of Mormon, going to church, and paying attention closely to my feelings. My soul started to crave the words and I felt great joy. It's not completely describable but I did know that something was changing. It was me. It was my desires. I wanted to do better. Fast forward and now I am preparing to serve a mission in Bangkok, Thailand. I don't know if anyone will read this. Maybe one or two will. Whoever does, know that I know that Jesus really is the Christ. He suffered and died so that we may be cleansed from our sins and provide peace and happiness in this life, as well as the next. I know that peace and joy come from God, our Father in Heaven. I have found this out for myself. But don't take my word for it. I invite you to find this out for yourself. Ask for a Book of Mormon, meet with the missionaries, keep learning!!! I promise that if you do, your life will change for the better. Try it.

How I live my faith

I have a calling teaching the primary children (age group of 9 and 10 year olds) in my ward. I've served as a youth leader from the age of 12 to 15. Other miscallaneous things such as boy scouts, and service projects. I am currently a missionary, heading to the Bangkok Thailand Mission. From 630 in the morning till 1030 at night I live to serve the Master. I study the Thai language hard, study my scriptures harder, and strive to live in a way that my Heavenly Father can guide me. I'm not perfect, but I strive to help people and live a Christlike life. I will spend two years of my life in the service of my fellow man, and my Savior. And I have never felt happier.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The best thing you can do is to mean it. Sometimes we want to know, but have reservation because we're afraid of change. If what the mormons say is real, then God will tell you. If He really is loving, caring, all-knowing, and our Father in Heaven, then He provided a way to know it. And He did. I promise you if you ask, truly wanting to know, then He will communicate it to you. Show more Show less
