Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a Mormon. I've been called to serve as a missionary in the California Santa Rosa Mission.

About Me

I'm 19 and have finished high school and have started college. I'm taking a break right now to serve a mission. College has actually been really rough for me. I feel like a break is exactly what I need and I am more than happy to use that break as an opportunity to serve the Lord. I love hanging out with my friends, laughing, and just having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church. I went through a brief period of time where I was kind of a rebel in high school, and didn't really see the Church as necessary for my happiness. After a little while of this, I realized I wasn't happy like I thought I would be. I started really paying attention in seminary, and started hanging out with people from Church rather than the friends I had that weren't influencing me the way I needed. I have truly been happier since, and realized that it was because I knew happiness came from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon through for the first time when I was about 16. I prayed about it, and came to find out that I already knew it was true. The Spirit just reminded me of what I already knew. Now, I want to share my happiness and light with the rest of God's children.

How I live my faith

I try to serve others as often as I can. Service, to me, can be really simple. Even just a simple smile to someone having a bad day is considered service in my eyes. I try to be as positive as I can, without calling too much attention to myself, or putting others down. I strive to help others see the potential they have - that God knows they have. I don't push my religion down other people's throats - rather, I try to live my life so that others can see God's light through me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Sincerely pray, with real intent, trusting that God will give you an answer. Study it out, and pay attention to how you feel as you are studying the Book of Mormon. Follow God's commandments and see how you feel - you will be able to feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
