Hi I'm Aaron

I am a Mormon

About Me

I am in the graduating class of 2012. I was considering joining the military after graduating, but ultimatly my life took a different turn when it was announced that the age missionaries could serve from was reduced from 19 to 18 for men. And so I now serve. I enjoy writing (fiction mostly), and indeed, previous to graduation I was considering it as a career. I also enjoy reading, juggling, and exercize.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a Mormon household, and have grown up a Mormon. As a Mormon, I have been given an unshakeable sense of duty, to improve myself infinitely, and to do good. As a Mormon I am fulfilled in this sense. I realize that, even with my questions and self-doubt, as well as a collection of all my other flaws, I can improve myself into eternity. As a missionary I can feel the truth of this Church every time I testify to another person of Jesus Christ, the Prophet Joseph Smith, and The Book Of Mormon, and can feel the spirit work through me to touch that person. I know of these truths through prayer also, as I often ask our Heavenly Father if what I am doing is right. I know and have felt, so many times when I have needed it, comfort sent from God to lift me up.

How I live my faith

I am called to serve as full-time missionary in the South Dakota, Rapid City mission. This means I am expected to put aside all personal affairs and devote all my time and talents to serving the Lord for a period of 2 years. As a missionary, I share my faith with others, serve them, and invite them to come closer to Christ. This does not mean I am simply trying convert people. It does mean that I do my best to act as the Savior would.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. We do, however, recognize him as the Prophet that helped restore the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Show more Show less
