Hi I'm Carrie

I bake, I sing, I laugh, I love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I'm the middle child of a family with nine kids. I have four brothers and four sisters, three of which are adopted. Some of my most favorite things in the world is laughing, smiling, baking, and eating. One thing that brings me the most happiness is service. Currently, I'm on a mission which is the greatest service opportunity that I will ever have. As a missionary I am helping the people of New York (and soon Brazil) receive the gospel and make the choice to accept it for themselves. I love that through this work I can help others find something that can bring them so much happiness. And the gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes me so happy. It is the biggest part of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel something in this church that I cannot feel anywhere else. No matter how hard life is or how much I want to quit, I can always look to this gospel to lift my heart. It brings joy to my mind, love to my heart, and peace to my soul. If something feels this right, how could I not trust in it with everything I am? I'm a Mormon because I have received a witness in my heart and in my mind that there this is the restored gospel, brought forth in these last days, to bless and help all of God's children. I am a child of God and with this knowledge, I want to respect Him and honor Him in all that I do. The teachings of the church help me do that. I love God, I love His gospel, and that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my Father in Heaven. I live my faith by accepting the call to be a missionary every morning when I get up. Every day I recommit to my Father that I am His servant and I will do as He directs. I will declare the gospel to God's children with the hope and faith that they will accept it for truth and apply the teachings in their own lives. I live my faith by believing in Jesus Christ and living in a way that I will be proud to stand before my Father when I return home to Him.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Carrie
If the missionaries visit your home they will teach you about how we can live a happier life. They will teach you about Jesus Christ, our loving Heavenly Father and how to trust in His plan for us. Show more Show less
