Hi I'm Mark McCammon

I'm an Entrepreneur, amateur photographer, political enthusiast, serving a mission(ELSM) for this blessed church and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 20, born and raised in Southern California, and am the middle child of 3. Photography is my passion. I love taking pictures of Nature especially at the beach. Conversations or debates about political issues foreign or domestic are always welcome. I Love America, and especially the Constitution. Our founding fathers were inspired men of God. I'm an entrepreneur, always loved making an extra dollar. My business involves the selling of wristbands (with political phrases on them). Right now I'm serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in England. Serving specifically in Exmouth, Plymouth stake. When I return home I plan to study at BYU Idaho. I'll be majoring in Communications (emphasis on journalism/news) and minoring in political science (American Gov. emphasis).

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in this faith,(Now I know what you might be thinking, oh great another brained washed soul)However just because someone is brought up in a faith does not mean that they just magically agree with every teaching/doctrine or even understand everything that's taught to them and somehow can't choose or think for themselves. I personally didn't always agree with every teaching nor understand absolutely everything taught to me. During my teenage years especially 14 - 18 I mingled with the wrong crowd and partook in many adrenaline rushing pleasures. When partaking in such pleasures there might be some thrill but it ends and the side effects short and long term are absolutely destructive. As I started to wake up and realize the massive hole I was digging myself into, I started having very impacting questions like how can I receive happiness that lasts. It was my personal choice to turn to God and find out if he were real. Majority of religions/faiths believe in a God and some sort of communication or meditation. If there were a God I wanted to know for myself. No one can give you that personal knowledge it must be experienced for yourself. I prayed, pondered, studied, and applied what I was learning. I found God and realized that he was there, God works through feelings, impressions, and people. I have felt God's marvellous spirit and power which has enveloped my whole body at times testifying to me that he is there. I was drawn to the Book of Mormon and blessed be the name of God for it. The Book of Mormon enlightened my understanding of God's plan for me and about his son Jesus Christ. I know of a surety that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is the Lords Church, that God works through messengers(prophets), and speaks to us today. I know these things through my personal quest and search. I’ve come to know that when I'm on the move having hope God answers my prayers when I least expect them, these exp.can't be forced. This is why I'm a Mormon.
