Hi I'm Lauren

I live in california. I love mexiacan food. I enjoy anything to do with the outdoors and being active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Lauren. I have been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints my entire life. I love being Mormon. Sports have always been a part of my life. I love competitive sports. I was fortunate to get a full ride scholarship playing sports for college. I played colligate tennis and soccer. My college experience was the best. I graduated May of 2012 with a bachelor in communication. My dream job would be to do wilderness therapy with struggling youth. I love being outdoors. Hiking and camping are some of my most favorite hobbies. I have decided to serve a Mormon mission and have been called to serve in the Chile Santiago west mission. I am so excited to serve and share what makes me so happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know for myself that it is true. If I did not feel that it was right I would not be a member. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is Christ church. I know that the book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Christ. This gospel offers more then just temporal happiness but a lasting and eternal happiness. I know we have a prophet of God on the earth today just like in times of old and his name is Tomas S. Monson. I have seen how this gospel blesses individuals and families. I can not deny the feeling of goodness and rightness I feel as I go to church and learn about Christ and as I strive to live this gospel. I know that our Father in heaven knows and loves each and everyone of us and wants us to be worthy to return and live with him again. we are here to be tested and tried and I know that if we are striving to follow Christ’s example and do as he did when he was on this earth and learn to love as he does that we will be able to return to our Father. I know where I came from, I know why I’m am here, and I know were I’m am going after this life. I am so grateful for my knowledge of this gospel. I am so grateful for my Savior and for the atonement. I do not know where I would be without it. It has saved my life and has given me purpose and hope. These things I know to be true because I have prayed to know of their truths and have received answers to my prayers. This is the truth.

How I live my faith

I have always enjoyed serving others. Being a member of the church my whole life has prvided me with many opportunites to do so. I have been involved with all types of servive projects within the church and out in the community. Service projects as simple as yard work for the elderly have brought me such joy. I have always been involved with different callings within the church. I have served as a teacher and as a member missionary. I would visit other members in my ward once a month to share a short message and assist them in any way I could. I strive to be someone others would think to call in a time of need.
