Hi I'm Kristen Scott

I have lived in Australia all my life. I've studied science and teaching. I'm going to serve in texas.I'm a proud mormon

About Me

I am the eldest child of a part-member family. I have spent the past 6 years studying science and teaching so that I may be qualified to teach in high schools. While i was studying I had a job as a tutor and met some amazing and talent kids who just needed someone to believe in them. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends. I can play the piano fairly well as long as I practise and occasionally do card making and scrapbooking with my mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so the gospel has been apart of my life always. However this is not why I remain a member of the church.I am a Mormon, because I recognise that I have a Father in Heaven and a Savior who loves me and knows me better than I know myself. I have had trials in my life just like everyone else. Some more serious than other and yet I have never been alone and have always discovered a lesson in that trial which has made me stronger and more confident both as a person and as a mormon. I will be serving a mission to Texas, a mission to share the knowledge I have been blessed to have in my life. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church which has the fullness of the gospel of Chirst upon the earth today. I know the Bible is the word of God as long as it has been translated correctly. I also know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and supports the bible. I know prophets still exist and President Thomas S. Monson has been called for this time and receives revelation from Heavenly Father for us today. I know family can be together forever and it is through the Atonement of Christ we can return to our Heavenly Father after we sepnd our lives doing all that we are able to do to become closer to Him.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I show/live my faith in everything I do. Its not simply something I believe in, its the way I live my life. During the week I strive to do the simply things that bring me closer to my Father in Heaven, read my scriptures and say my daily prayers and attempt to visit others in the ward. On Sundays I enjoy being the unofficial ward chorister and a leader for the young women in our ward. I am responsible for the program which helps the girls prepare themselves for the future, whether it be developing healthy self-images or learning practical skills that will enable them to be strong and independent women.
