Hi I'm Cristina

.I grew up in Brazil in a city called Araraquara, it's an indian name that means " The Sun's home or home for the Sun".

About Me

My husband and I are the parents of 3 beautiful kids. I have studied English and Portuguese at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. I've worked as a teacher, bilingual secretary and as a Portuguese interpreter. I love to go to the movies, to read a good book and to help people. I love to study languages and other cultures and meet the wondeful people that are out there in the world. I like to belong and fight for a good cause and to stand for what is right.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has answered my questions on " Where did we come from, what are we doing here on earth and what happens after life" . When I met the church I felt that everything sounded so familiar, like I already knew those things deep inside me.I've met people of high integrity and devotion to God. I have a deep love for my Savior, Jesus Christ and His teachings and the mormonism introduced me to the concept that I can receive personal revelation and have a close relashioship with God and thatt God has a plan for me. I learned more than anything that there is a connection between heaven and earth and finding that connection makes everything meaninful. I have studied and prayed before becoming a mormon and have sought revelation to receive guideness and direction to my life.

How I live my faith

I have organized many events for my church and have served as a full time missionary in Brazil for 18 months. At the moment I serve as a Counselour at my ward's women's organization. My faith is very important in my life because it brings me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ and helps me be a better person.
