Hi I'm Bryson Haynie

I grew up in Cedar City UT. I have 9 siblings and love every one of them. My family also does foster care. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sports fanatic. SportsCenter is my favorite T.V. show and I could honestly watch it for hours. Football is my favorite sport but in high school I also played basketball and did track and field. I love hanging out with my family and spending time with my older brother. I love to read. I also like hanging out with my friends which pretty much consists of about two people. I recently just finished a semester at BYU and absolutely loved it!! It is the best college out there and I highly recommend it. I am not currently going to school because I am leaving to California to serve a mission. I could not be more excited to share the gospel and can't wait till I leave.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents are Mormons. I have grown up in the church my whole life but only recently have I acquired a testimony of my own. I like to think that I had a testimony when I was little and I did, but most of my testimony was my parents. I now have a testimony of my own and I know without a doubt that this is the true church. I have seen too many good things and felt way too many good feelings for this church to be wrong. I am still in this church because it is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and it was restored to this earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith really did see the father and the son and he did translate the Book of Mormon for our day and age. Again, I cannot wait to spread this truth to the good people of California because I know it is true and it has brought so much joy and happiness to my life.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. I didn't use to love going to church and in fact I used to hate it. But now that I am older and realize how important and how awesome it is, I absolutely love it. I have had several church callings throughout my life and most of them were in presidencies. I was in the presidency over a group of young men. I wish I would have taken my calling more seriously because I think I could have helped a lot of inactive young men, but I really just did what I had to. I went to meetings, set up activities, and invited all the guys to come to church. One of the things that I have really gained respect for though is hometeaching. This is so much like being a missionary it is crazy! You have a companion, you teach a family in their home, and you pray before and after you meet. Taking hometeaching seriously has prepared me better for being a missionary and I love doing it. There have been many stories of hometeachers who go teach less active members and through their faithfulness and diligence get those members to come back to church.
