Hi I'm Dorothy

I like to travel, especially in Europe. I believe that knowledge is power. I'm a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been attending college where I've studied and discovered the complexities of the human body as I work for a BA in Neuroscience with aspirations to attend a medical college. At the same time I've also been turned into an avid yogi. Yoga practice is a time for me to heal mentally, physically and spiritually. I recently had knee surgery and yoga has been an outlet for me to find a way to once again function on a normal level. I also like to ride horses with my mom, even if there is snow outside. Whenever I'm reading it's most likely a memoir, biography or children's science fiction.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church along with my six siblings and along the way I've seen that it is a choice to live the gospel. I may have been born into an LDS family but it's been my decision to remain a practicing Mormon. I've stayed true to the gospel because it brings me joy and comfort in daily living and when I need it most. Along with it comes other members who love and support me through thick and thin. I've never felt alone or abandoned while I've entrusted my care to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I like to attend church meetings every Sunday because they are always so enjoyable. I can easily talk to the people around me not just as fellow church members but as members of a community, other people who live, work and play in the area just like I do. I can always find someone who's interested in exploring new things or who care about the same things I do. The ward members are also so willing to help each other out. Whether it's yard work or babysitting you can find help in getting it done.
