Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in Sunset Country. I am a pharmacist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Bethany, also known affectionately as Bethy. I am currently working as a pharmacist and hope to run my own pharmacy one day. I love being that first contact in the health care system and the difference I can make in peoples lives through proper disease and medication education. I live for summer. I am blessed to have both a house and cabin on the lake. I love swimming, sailing, fishing, campfires, picnics, pink lemonade, and especially summer dresses. I love music; it is a huge part of my life. I play the piano, saxophone, and guitar. I never grew out of my Disney Princess phase. If it has got a princess or a hobbit on it, I'll buy it! I am a klutz, except when I have a soccer ball between my feet or a badminton racquet in my hand. I love to cook, especially for large groups of people. I absolutely adore my parents, younger brother and sister, and beloved friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to become a Mormon. I was raised in Christian household, fully aware of the the existence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Although I was raised in a wonderful home, surrounded by wonderful people almost all of the time, I was never happy. I know that this church provides us with the plan to find happiness here on Earth, and in the next life for all time and eternity. This church has taught me that families are eternal. I love the people I know here on Earth and I am a member because I know that it will help to guide me to be with these people forever. Jesus Christ loved us all so much that he died for our sins. I know that it is because of the atonement of Christ that we can all resurrect and live with Him and our loved ones forever. By becoming a member of this church, I received the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost who guides me in every decision that I make and who's presence brings me peace and happiness, and the knowledge that this church is true. I know that I am never alone. Heavenly Father loves me with an infinite love and being a Mormon brings me even closer to Him. He has provided us with a living Prophet, who speaks the words and will of God to help us on our mortal journey. This life is the time to learn and live by the words of God, but I know that it is never too late for anyone to be saved and that Heavenly Father rejoices whenever a lost soul returns to him: " faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." (Alma 32:21) This church is Christ's church restored here on Earth and it is through his teachings that one can become truly happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live my life the way my Heavenly Father and Saviour want me to. I try my best to live by the Gospel to become more like my beloved Saviour, Jesus Christ. I attend church, read my scriptures every night, and pray to my Heavenly Father multiple times a day every day. I know that when we try to live a more Christ-like life, that our Heavenly Father is pleased with us and rewards us with blessings on a daily basis. I try to be an example to all those around me as living by the Gospel not only blesses myself, but all those I come in contact with. I do not smoke, do drugs, or drink alcohol, coffee or tea. I always use my manners and lady-like language. I respect my body and take care of it. I know that it is important that I dress modestly.
