Hi I'm Candace

I love the arts, spending time with my family and friends, camping, and bowling with my husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Canada and now live in Idaho. I grew up on a potato farm. I have three brothers. I like to make ceramics, ride horses, swim, play sports, and read. I am an high school art teacher. I served a LDS mission in Uruguay. I love to travel. I have been to Uruguay, Mexico, England, and several states throughout the U.S. I hope to travel some more in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was a convert and my father has been a member his whole life. I grew up learning and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However as every life-long member has to do at some point, I had to find out for myself if this Gospel was true. My conversion did not happen all at once. It came little by little and I learned and lived the Gospel and as I felt the spirit confirm to me that it is true. The Gospel brings so much happiness. It allows me to live in the world but not of the world. It comforts me that I will be with my family after death and for all eternity.

How I live my faith

Well to start I attend Church every Sunday. I attend the Temple monthly with my husband. However as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I strive to become a better person everyday. To help me stay in tune with the spirit I try to read the scriptures and pray daily. My faith shows in everything I do and every decision I make. I am definitely not perfect. That is why I use the atonement of Jesus Christ daily to be forgiven of my shortcomings and recommit to do better everyday.
