Hi I'm Alexandra

I'm a word wrangling, book loving, fiddle playing Mormon.

About Me

Howdy! I'm Alexandra, which means "keeper of man", and I have eight little brothers. I tend to think that everything is an adventure and I live with the energy of a mad scientist. I'm a writer, violinist, triathlete, college girl...and I'm off to serve a mission in Korea! The gospel makes me so happy and I can't wait to share it with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as a young girl I knelt by my bed and said a simple prayer. Is this church true? My answer was an overwhelming feeling of peace and joy. I am a Mormon because I look around at the world and see the handiwork of God. I climb mountains and see the earth stretched out in all its beauty and I know that it did not come about by chance. I talk to people and I know that their spirits will not vanish with the grave. I study the scriptures and I know that what I read is true as I ponder and pray about them. I am a Mormon because living this gospel enriches my life and makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to wake up with joy in my heart and a smile on my face. I know that I am a daughter of God and I strive to live with love and integrity. I have many amazing people in my life who inspire me, and I hope that I can do the same for others. I want to live in such a way that the light of Christ shines through me. I know that God has restored the truth on earth today, and right now my mission is to share that with others by teaching the gospel in Korea. My family is very dear to me, and knowing that I can live with them even after this life is, to me, one of the most amazing parts of the Mormon faith. People are the most precious part of life, and I hope that those who know me know how much I love them. Life can be tough, but it is so much easier with faith in Christ! He truly understands everything that we go through, and it is through faith that we make the journey. It is impossible to know what lies ahead, but everything always works out when we press forward with faith, courage, and enthusiasm. I pray to God knowing that He is really there, a benevolent father and friend. I feel His love in my life and that is what keeps me going. I don't know everything, but God does, and I put my trust in him.
