Hi I'm AshLee Ontiveros

I'm from Utah, I love to play sports, play music, and I'm half Hispanic and half Caucasian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been attending the University of Utah for college, I love to play sports, sing and play piano, and I love to spend time with my family and friends. I am a nursing assistant at an assisted living facility and I plan to one day go to med school and become a family practitioner.I have recently been called to serve a mission in the El Salvador, San Salvador mission, Spanish speaking, and I can't wait to get out there and share the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

To many people it seems as if being a Mormon requires too much for the little amount of time that we have and it is true that being a Mormon does require a lot of work and dedication, but it is all worth it. Throughout the years I have had my struggles like most people, but what I have been fortunate to have throughout all of those struggles was the gospel teachings and knowing that the Lord is with me. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and he understands what we are going through and he loves us unconditionally. This unconditional love has comforted me and has helped me to know that this gospel is true and that being a Mormon and representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best decision that I could ever make. I have witnessed the power of the Holy Ghost and the truths that he has shown me. I know that our Saviour Jesus Christ lives and that he will come again, and I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on this Earth today. I am very grateful for the missionaries who brought the gospel to my father so that I could have the gospel in my life and so that I could one day return the favor by choosing to serve a mission. I love everything about this gospel and I know that I wouldn't trade being a Mormon for anything.

How I live my faith

Living my faith comes by being the best that I can be so that those who I come in contact with will feel inspired to live the same way. I plan to enhance living my faith by serving a mission, but I can also live my faith any day by fulfilling my callings or even just spending time with my family. In the past I have been called to help plan youth activites, to speak in church, to share my talents with the ward, and as a visiting teacher. With each of these callings I have been able to share my testimony with others and I have been able to see how the gospel has affected thier lives which has helped me to grow spiritually and to grow closer to the people who I share these experiences with. I live my faith daily by doing the things which the Lord asks of me so that I may be an example to others and so that they can see the light of Christ through me.

What is the Book of Mormon?
