Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a grandmother. I'm a Family Daycare Provider.

About Me

My family brings me JOY!!!!! I am blessed to be married to my husband for almost 40 years. We have four amazing children who have chosen companions that have blessed and enriched our family. We have six incredible grandchildren. My husband just retired, so we are looking forward to new opportunities and experiences. Our "family" has grown over the past 30 years, as I have provided daycare in our home. It has been rewarding to see our "extended family" grow, get married, and return for visits with their children. I love to read, go camping with my family, hang out in my hammock, laugh with friends, garden....I so enjoy white flowers, and I enjoy a variety of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the way my parents raised me. They joined the church when I was a toddler, and gave me a lasting example of how to live a quiet life of service and caring for others. As I have grown and experienced the ups and downs of life,I have found that as I follow the teachings I learn at church, I have greater peace, happiness and the calm assurance that all will be well. I love the scriptures....I love the way I feel in my mind and in my heart when I read the scriptures. So many times I have recieved guidance and answers to help me in my life,as I have been reading my scriptures. This is definitely one way I always feel closer to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have served in a variety of church callings, teaching and organizing activities for children, the young women aged twelve to eighteen and also with the women over the age of eighteen. I recently finished an amazing four year calling, teaching the youth of our ward at an early morning seminary class where we studied the scriptures. Going to church and being surrounded by my ward family, brings me joy. My favorite time is Fast and Testimony meeting on the first Sunday of each month, I always leave this meeting feeling spiritually nourished and more prepared to face life's challenges.
