Hi I'm Jocelyn Mikolajcik

I'm a college student. I'm a sister. I'm a missionary. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I like to play the guitar, read, and sing. I attend college and I am studying Landscape Management. One of my favorite things to do is hangout with my friends and family. My family and I enjoy to be active and play sports together. My favorite sports are football and soccer, but I like pretty much all sports. Recently, I decided to serve a mission for my church. I recently received my call and will be serving for 18 months. I decided to serve a mission because I want to spread the Lord's gospel because this gospel makes me happy and I want others to experience the joy that I feel. I love this gospel and I know that this church is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this is the most correct church on this earth today. I've been a member of this church all of my life, but when I was in high school, I was kind of struggling with my testimony. I guess I was always basing my faith and testimony upon the testimonies of my parents. So I was at EFY (a week long youth program where you go and have fun and increase your testimony), and it was testimony meeting. A guy from my group stood up and talked about how he didn't want to "fall back asleep" when he got home, or, in other words, he didn't want to forget about the gospel again and kind of just float in the church. That really hit me and then a couple of weeks later, I was reading my scriptures and came to 3 Nephi 11 and what was in that chapter really hit me. I got down on my knees and prayed and asked if this church was true and I got a strong confirmation that it was. I know that this church is the true church and I know that the Prophet and Apostles on the earth today teach correct principles and that they give us guidance from our Heavenly Father. I know that my Heavenly Father loves everyone on this earth and that if He can, that I can too. I know that without this gospel, I don't know where I would be in the world today. I know that I would not be happy. I know that God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and that Christ atoned for all of our sins so we can be saved and return to live with our Heavenly Father if we follow the commandments. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know with my friends. My last calling in my church was a group leader over a small group of people up at college. The calling is called being a FHE coordinator. I was paired up with a male counterpart and we organized activities and lessons to do with our group. I also had two ladies that I was assigned to visit teach with another young lady. We all became good friends and hopefully I left some good messages with them.
