Hi I'm Clint

I am currently a missionary, I snowboard, skateboard, airsoft, rock climb, im a mormon!

About Me

i am 19 i am currently serving in the milwaukee, wisconsin mission. i work in a steel mill in northern Utah. i enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, paintball/ airsoft, i love camping, and being with my friends. i am the oldest of a family of six i have three younger sisters. my family was sealed in the temple on april 10th, 2009. After my mission i plan to go to college. Im not really sure where or for what yet but that is the plan. I love music, I love my Saviour, and i love my religion!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but i have seen many aspects of life outside my religion. I have seen the happiness that the gospel brings to people and I have been blessed to see that change not only in my life when I chose to stop being a fence sitter and strive my best to live the gospel to the fullest but especially as I have served a mission and I have seen others make this change in their lives. It took me a long time to finally make that decision for myself because I am so stubborn at times. I wouldnt say I ever had a single conversion story rather I have had many small witnesses that the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is true. and whether I always lived it the best I could or not I still somewhere in the back of my mind knew it was true. Now that I am here in wisconsin and I teach people about the gospel I find myself learning more than I am actually teaching haha. that is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning and improving myself each day. no one is perfect and I know this to be especially so for me. I love my faith because it teaches continual improvement and that it is never too late to change. I try to have an open mind about the things I hear and I feel that because I do so that I not only learn to put myself in other people's shoes but I also learn different ways to improve my life. I beleive that when one is continually moving forward then that is the way we become more like our saviour Jesus Christ. Thats not to say that we wont slip up every once and a while because like I said earlier no one is perfect but through this process of learning I have learned to be resiliant. To bounce back from those moments when I may have slipped.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Clint
to put it in a nutshell. we live exactly like everyone else and we live entirely different from everyone else. i know it sounds strange but its true. we enjoy the same things as the average person but we leave out all the things that we believe to be unhealthy physically, mentally, and spiritually. for instance we watch football with the best of them. ive heard that "mormons dont watch tv" but i love cheering for my favorite team but when the superbowl comes around we keep away from bringing alcohol to the party because we know it to be unhealthy. and we believe that it takes away your ability to make decisions properly which can lead to sin and other transgressions. i have lived my whole life enjoying everything that my non-Mormon friends have done i just sometimes choose to do them differently. I would recommend the way i live to anyone who is interested. I feel like everyone has their own way of living, but i feel as if the gospel has made my life five times better. because i know the truth. Show more Show less
