Hi I'm BreAnna

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to read, draw, hike, and design. I am currently on a full time mission in Spokane Washington! I love the Book of Mormon and the opportunities I have to share it as a missionary. Before my mission I was attending USU and majoring in Interior Design. When the October announcement was made for 19year old girls being able to serve missions I thought to myself, Oh goodness....I'm 19 in 3months! I gotta really think this through... After a month of pondering, I received my answer and started filling out my mission papers, put my schooling on a hold, and here I am!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness. The whole point of this gospel is to guide you through life so that you can be happy and live with our Father in Heaven again. It just makes sense to me to live my life according to the gospel.

How I live my faith

Currently I am on a mission and that's how I live and show my faith at the moment. Before my mission when I was at college I knew the importance of giving the Lord time. I was putting in 30 hours at work a week, and doing 16 credit hours at school. However, I knew how important it was to read my scriptures and keeping the Sabbath Day holy. So I made the effort to try and read at least one verse a day out of the scriptures and I made sure that I wouldn't work or even do homework on Sundays. It was really hard to do, but I stuck to it. When the semester was over I got a letter in the mail saying that I made the Dean's list. I knew it had nothing to do with my work, but because I honored the Lord and so he blessed me because of it.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The Mormon lifestyle mostly coincides with the commandments found in the scriptures. Such as thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultry, thou shalt honor thy mother and father, the basic ten. But there's also trying to read your scriptures everyday, not drinking coffee or alchol, not doing drugs, and so on. It does seem like its a bunch of don't do this or that's, but in all actuallity it opens so many doors to happiness. We focus on the family and things we can do to be happier while avoiding bad consequences. Show more Show less
