Hi I'm Ava

A former college athlete turned stay-at-home mom. Loving every minute!

About Me

Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for athletics- growing up, gymnastics and diving were a huge part of my life. I was on the swimmiing and diving in college, where I got my Bachelor's in Exercise Science. When my husband started dental school in California I became a counselor at and inpatient eating disorder facility. After a year of work I became a stay-at-home mom to a new baby boy. Staying at home has come with new sacrifices and challenges but I couldn't be happier spending every day raising my son.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. By living the principles of the gospel, much of which is contained in the Book of Mormon, my trials are bearable and my happiest moments are enriched. The atonement of Jesus Christ has provided forgiveness, comfort and perspective . I know that President Monson is a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Visiting Teaching Supervisor in my ward. I live my faith by fulfilling my calling. I also do my best to observe where additional help is needed and serve others as best I can.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

As members of the Church we strive to serve all those in need, regardless of religious beliefs, because we know that every individual is a child of God. Their are over 53,000 missionaries around the world volunteering their service to help individuals and families who are not Mormon. Show more Show less
