Hi I'm Mallorie

I am passionate about life. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love life! I think I have such a different view than a lot of people. I feel so blessed and happy to have the opportunity to live as part of God's plan here on earth. I have spent my life trying to thank God for that blessing by learning and living His plan for me and sharing it with others. I want other people to find joy in life and appreciate what God has given them. I've always loved the outdoors - camping and hiking. I enjoy crafts - sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, decorating my home. I love people - I enjoy getting to know people and their stories. I love that we can all learn something from each other. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 18 months teaching people about the Bible and the Book of Mormon and the importance of ordinances for families. I attended college for several years, studying business. I have been married to my wonderful husband for seven years now and have been blessed with two beautiful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is led by prophets and apostles and by Jesus Christ Himself. (See Ephesians 2:20) Everything just makes sense. We know why we are here on earth and where we are going after this life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives solutions to everyday problems and answers to our deepest questions about ourselves and God. When I live the teachings I feel peace and joy. I know it is of God. (See John 7:17)

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by trusting God in each aspect of my life. I know that as I learn and serve, God blesses me. I am a stay at home Mom - by choice. I could go to work if I wanted to. The extra income would be nice...but I feel in today's world that it is important to put all of my work into my home and children. It isn't easy. We have to budget very carefully and make sacrifices, but the payoff is my healthy, beautiful children. I feel that I am giving them security and the best start they can get at life by being with them every day. I enjoy being with them and teaching them new things everyday. I especially feel it is important to use my time to instill in them Christian teachings and values that can only be taught in the home. By setting the best example for them (I am far from perfect...) and praying with them and reading to them from the scriptures they see what our family priorities are. They will know where they can turn for peace and direction. They will know that they are children of God with divine purpose and eternal identity.
